Yvonne has been teaching in Abbotsford for over 30 years, and during this time has built a solid reputation as a fine music teacher who is always in demand.
Her teaching accomplishments include:
- 10 years at the Yamaha Music School.
- Head of the guitar department at the Yamaha Music School.
- 2 years at the Central Academy of music.
- 27+ years operating her own music studio in the McMillan area of Abbotsford.
- Also decades of experience teaching students with special needs.
Yvonne is able to teach piano, classical guitar, ukulele, saxophone, and music theory. She has achieved the Royal Conservatory levels thru to the teaching requirements, for classical guitar and piano.
Yvonne’s own musical journey began at the age of 6, after she immigrated to Canada from the Netherlands with her family.
Besides teaching, Yvonne is also a performer, and has performed both locally, as well as in Europe.
